BATTLE CREEK, MICHIGAN (WTVB) - Kellogg's is recalling millions of boxes of Mini-Wheats cereal over concerns it may be contaminated by pieces of metal mesh. The Battle Creek based food giant says 2.8-million packages of Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size cereal are being pulled from store shelves. They suspect a faulty manufacturing part, and say while contamination is unlikely, they are recalling the cereal under an abundance of caution. No injuries linked to the cereal have been reported.
