CANYON CITY, COLORADO (WTVB) -The Houdini act is over with the curtain coming down at a Colorado motel for the those escapees from the Allegan County Jail. 32-year-old Kenneth Grauman and 23-year-old Gregory Bradshaw had eluded police for nearly two weeks, but it was some good old fashioned police work that resulted in the capture of the two prison escapees and their girlfriends. U.S. Marshals got a tip that one of them had a friend in Colorado. Police went around to all the motels in Canyon City with pictures of the suspects and got a hit at the Budget Host Royal Gorge Inn. A SWAT team from Pueblo, Colorado caught the two men out of their room and arrested them. The two girlfriends were captured in a car stolen in Iowa in front of the motel. They were never given a chance to put up a struggle. When police went into their room at the motel, they discovered an active meth lab.
The four are being held at the Freemont County Criminal Justice center where they may face local charges, and an extradition hearing that would send them back to Michigan. They will all likely face charges, perhaps in multiple states.
