DETROIT (WKZO) -- General Motors held a media briefing Wednesday previewing 13 all-new or redesigned vehicles that will be introduced in 2013.

The automaker showcased the new Chevrolet Malibu which is hitting showrooms now, along with the new Silverado pickup, Tahoe and Suburban SUV's, and the 2014 Impala sedan.  It will be produced in the first part of 2013 and will come with three powertrain options.  The compact Chevy Spark will have a hybrid version and the Chevy Cruze will offer a diesel motor.

Chevrolet executives say sales for the year so far are nine-percent ahead of 2011.
