STURGIS, MI (WKZO) --   A repeat drunk driver may face additional charges after he attempted to flee the scene in Sturgis Saturday evening.   They won’t release his name until he is charged, which could come today. 

Sturgis Police were called to the 400-block of Sturgis Street Saturday evening to answer a complaint about a car that had hit two parked cars and was attempting to flee, but was apparently too damaged to move.

The driver abandoned the car and was walking away when officers arrived.  They told him to stop and he started running, but didn’t get far.  For now he faces a second drunk driving charge, and allegations that he resisted and obstructed a police officer and left the scene of a property damage accident.
