COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - It’s taken awhile, but gasoline prices in Michigan on average are now lower than the national average. Triple-A Michigan today put the price at $3.77 a gallon with the national number at $3.79. Prices at some stations in the Coldwater area fell yesterday to get in step with the rest of the state. However, it’s still 29-cents more than we were paying at this time a year ago.
www.GasBuddy.Com lists a station in Morenci, in Lenawee County, as having the cheapest gasoline in the state at $3.36 a gallon for self serve regular. Nationwide, Michigan has the 23rd most expensive gas in the U.S. Prices in Coldwater Tuesday morning ranged from $3.74 per gallon at Meijer to $3.87 at West Side Shell. In Bronson, the prices at those three gas stations ranged from $3.76 to $3.77 per gallon.
