TEKONSHA, MI (WTVB) - A Tekonsha teen who claimed he became a rookie firefighter because his parents died in a fire, was already facing the possibility of jail for allegedly setting fire to two structures. Now police claim that Dillon Eaton is one of their suspects in a series of seven burglaries in Southern Calhoun and Northern Branch Counties over the past couple of weeks, targeting barns, outbuildings and garages.
One of the victims got a tip about who had his stolen tools. He told police, who got a warrant and searched a home in the 400 block of Canal Street, where the stolen goods from the seven burglaries were stashed. That led them back to Eaton who had been free on bond for the arson charges.
