Brendan Gibbons, who made the winning 38-yard field goal for Michigan with 5 seconds left the Wolverine’s 12-to-10 victory Saturday over Michigan State, is the Big Ten’s Special Teams Player of the Week. Gibbons also connected from 21 and 24 yards earlier in the game.
And speaking of special teams, Michigan coach Brady Hoke sidestepped questions yesterday at his weekly news conference about the decision to have quarterback Denard Robinson on the kickoff return unit to open the second half against the Spartans. Michigan plays its next game Saturday night at Nebraska while M-S-U is at Wisconsin.
