negotiations between the NHL and the players' association are reportedly at a standstill. According to TSN in Canada, no meetings between the sides are scheduled either now or in the immediate future. The NHLPA reportedly reached out to the league to set up a meeting, but NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said the union has no intention of making a new proposal and he isn't sure what they would be meeting about. The NHL has cancelled games through November First due to the ongoing lockout. A full 82-game season appears very unlikely
