The Lions have acquired wide receiver Mike Thomas from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick. Thomas,in his fourth year out ofArizona, had just 13 catches for 80 yards this season.Detroitplays atJacksonville on Sunday. The Lions needed to beef up their receiving corps after placing Nate Burleson on injured reserve last week. Burleson’s season ended when he suffered a broken leg in the Lion’s October 22nd-Monday night loss at Chicago. The NFL pushed the trade deadline back to Thursday because of Hurricane Sandy. The deadline originally was scheduled for yesterday at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, but was delayed 48 hours because of the storm.
