Michigan State took a dive in the weekly polls after the Spartan’s 20-to-3 loss at home Saturday night to Notre Dame. M-S-U dropped from tenth to 18th place in the A-P rankings and fell ten spots to 20th in the USA Today coach’s poll. The Spartans will try to rebound this coming weekend at home against Eastern Michigan. 11th-ranked Notre Dame will host number-18 Michigan Saturday night. The Alabama Crimson Tide are once again the top team in the nation with L-S-U moving up to second place, which had been held by Southern Cal before the Trojans were upset Saturday by Stanford.
