UNION, MICHIGAN (WTVB) - A 17-year-old Union High School student faces multiple criminal charges and expulsion from school after allegedly taking two guns and a knife onto school property. Police aren’t saying why but initial charges include carrying a weapon with unlawful intent. He is also charged with possessing weapons in a school zone and two felony gun charges. They removed a rifle, a shotgun, a knife and ammo from the vehicle. He is being held in the Cass County jail and could possibly be tried as an adult. Police were apparently tipped off about the situation. They aren’t saying what he may have intended to do with the weapons.
