Week Three got going with a game at Carolina where the Panthers were thumped by the New York Giants 33-to-7. The Giants led 20-to-0 at halftime and cruised to victory with Eli Manning throwing for 288 yards and a touchdown with no turnovers.
The Lion’s latest injury watch tells us that receiver Calvin Johnson returned to practice after resting a sore foot on Wednesday, while cornerbacks Bill Bentley and Chris Houston were also on the field for a second straight day. Safety Louis Delmas, tight end Tony Scheffler, linebacker Travis Lewis and defensive tackle Corey Williams stayed on the sidelines yesterday because of injuries. Detroit plays at Tennessee on Sunday.
