COMSTOCK, MI (WTVB) - It’s another ripple effect of a devastating combination of weather last spring that wiped out most of West Michigan’s fruit crop. Bell's Brewery has announced that there will be no Cherry Stout brewed this year, because the juice from the Montmorency cherries grown in the Traverse City area that normally go into the vats, just isn’t available. They will stay true to the brew and cancel this year’s production, and wait for next year’s crop. They do plan to release a few barrels of the Cherry Stout from last year’s production.
