DETROIT - Last night’s game between Minnesota and Detroit was postponed due to rain.  It will be made up tomorrow as a part of a day-night doubleheader.  The first game will start at the regularly scheduled time of 1:05pm while the nightcap is scheduled to start at 7:05pm. This afternoon on the hill, Doug Fister will go up against Sam Deduno.

The Tigers gained a half game on the White Sox in the American League Central race, as the LA Angels knocked off Chicago 6-2. The Sox, losers of 3 straight, now lead the division by just a game and a half.
