EAST LANSING (WKZO) -- State House Representative Bob Genetski is scheduled to go on trial today for drunk driving, barring any delays or new motions. He was stopped by a Michigan State University Officer and given a field sobriety test that the officer said he failed. When he refused to take a breathalyzer, he was arrested.
The Saugatuck Republican had just left a reception following the Governor’s State of the State address early this year. He was later administered a breathalyzer at the jail and he reportedly blew under the legal limit. Genetski has been driving on a restricted license most of the year awaiting trial.
