LANSING (WKZO) -- The Michigan House is being put under some pressure to pass a Senate bill which bans teens with a level 1 or level 2 driver's license from using a cell phone while behind the wheel.
Called "Kelsey's Law," it's named for 17-year-old Kelsey Rafaelle of Sault Ste. Marie, who died in a crash while on her phone. Ari Adler, spokesman for House Speaker Jase Bolger, says that House Republicans have some issues with the bill because it could be viewed as trying to legislate personal responsibility.
Supporters of the bill held a rally Tuesday at the state Capitol.
