LANSING (WKZO) -- A new ad opposing the ballot proposal that puts collective bargaining rights in the Michigan Constitution is now airing statewide.
The group Protecting Michigan Taxpayers paid nearly two-million dollars for the ad that claims the measure would threaten school children because safety rules currently in place for bus drivers would be eliminated. Supporters of the plan say scare tactics are being used and nothing would be repealed "immediately" and many issues would likely be decided by the courts.
Recent polls show the issue is not favored by voters.
