Gas prices in decline, enjoy it while you can

UNDATED (WKZO) -- The cost of filling up is going down again, but the timing seems a little unusual to the Analysts.

The average price of a gallon of gasoline has dropped six cents over the past two weeks to $3.65 according to the newest Lundberg Survey.

Publisher Trilby Lundberg says you can thank the drop in crude oil prices.

Nancy Cain with Michigan AAA says normally prices are peaking at this time of the year because of the transition to summer blends.   She says its too early to say they won't peak again.

The average price statewide is practically identical to the national average, $3.65 a gallon. It’s not difficult to find a station in Kalamazoo selling for less than the state average.

They are also saying that it looks like prices overall will be lower this year than last if the current trends continue.
