LANSING (WKZO) -- A budget proposal for the Michigan Department of Human Services would result in the loss of over one-thousand jobs and closure of three juvenile justice facilities. A state House Appropriations subcommittee approved that spending plan Tuesday along party lines, sending it on to the full Appropriations Committee. The kids who are currently locked up at the three juvenile facilities would have to be transferred to private facilities.
