BURLINGTON, MI (WTVB) - Deputies and animal control officials say they have seized 29 dogs from filthy conditions inside a mobile home on 11-mile Road in Burlington Township. They say the elderly woman who was operating a dog breeding operation may face animal cruelty charges. The dogs were flea ridden and many of them had ear mites and worms.
Officials say they raided the same woman’s home in 2006, seizing 40 dogs that time. Animal control is cleaning, grooming and treating the small dogs and hope to have them available for adoption later this month.
