SAGINAW, MI (WKZO) - A suspicious letter was delivered to the office of U.S. Senator Carl Levin in Saginaw Wednesday morning prompting the evacuation of the office around 11:30 a.m. One staff member was taken to the hospital and kept overnight as a precaution but has shown no symptoms.

It was just one incident of many triggered by the heightened state of alert around the Capitol triggered by an authentic attempt to send poison through the mail.

Three letters that have tested positive for the poison ricin have been traced to a man who has been taken into custody at his home in Corinth, Mississippi. Paul Kevin Curtis is being held pending a bond hearing.

The U.S. Postal Inspection service says those letters were sent to President Obama, Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker and a Mississippi justice official.

According to Reuters, at least two of the letters included the same phrase:"To see a wrong and not expose it is to become a silent partner to its continuance. I am KC and I approve this message,"
