LANSING, MI (WKZO) Gov. John Snyder, flanked by two lawmakers and representatives from Business at a news conference yesterday introduced a package of bills to reform the state’s no-fault auto insurance system and its catastrophic care fund. He claims it would result in lower rates for consumers by generally trying to keep costs down for the care that severely injured auto accident victims receive.
But John Truscott, speaking for a group opposed to the reforms in the medical community says by their very nature, catastrophic injuries are not like other injuries.
The Package of bills will be introduced next week, and will have big money interests on both sides lobbying for and against.
