WOODBURN, IN (WTVB) - Authorities say the owner of the "Little Hippie" shops in Bronson and Angola, Indiana has been arrested. Drug task forces from Michigan and Indiana conducted raids at the stores last Friday.
Angola City Police on Tuesday said 41-year old Christy Jackson of Woodburn, Indiana was taken into custody on a charge of dealing in a controlled substance, a Class C felony.
Last week, the Southwest Enforcement Team and the IMAGE Drug Task Force served search warrants at the shops as part of a year-long investigation on the sale of K2 or Spice, also known as synthetic marijuana. Detectives said over 2,800 packages were seized in the Bronson raid while 19-year-old Cody Sawyer of Angola was taken into custody in Steuben County for dealing in a controlled substance. Police said yesterday that the case remains under investigation.
