It’s another pressure packed game tonight for the Red Wings as they resume their push to make the playoffs by facing off against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings at Joe Louis Arena.
Detroit is one point behind the Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Red Wings and Minnesota have three games left in the regular season, giving them a game in hand over Columbus. The Wild last night beat Los Angeles 2-to-1.
And Detroit got some help last night from San Jose with the Sharks beating the Dallas Stars 3-to-2 and that keeps the ninth place Red Wings two points ahead of the Stars.
