NASHVILLE, TN (WTVB) – The NFL Draft gets underway tonight in Nashville with the first-round. Rounds two and three will be held tomorrow. Rounds four through seven wrap things up Saturday.
The Detroit Lions have the eighth-overall pick tonight, right after the Jaguars and just ahead of the Bills.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are locking up quarterback Ben Roethlisberger through the 2021 season. ESPN reports it’s a two-year extension worth 68-million-dollars and is added to the one year he had remaining on his previous deal.
The 37-year-old ranks sixth all-time in passing yards and seventh in touchdown passes. The two-time Super Bowl winner amassed career-highs last season with 5,129 passing yards and 34 touchdowns.
