GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO) -- The post disaster recovery at the Plaza Tower in downtown Grand Rapids may involve insurance adjusters and lawyers as tenants in the high rise may be displaced for a while longer, and many have lost cars and other expensive property stored in areas that were flooded this past week.
Some tenants say they should have been warned so they could rescue their property.
Asst. City Manager Eric Delong says it’s difficult to say how long it may take before residents can move back.
Management says they have to pump out over a million gallons of water, and dry things out, and then have engineers inspect all the electrical and any other systems that may have been submerged.
