COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Domestic violence awareness is a big part of what happens when dozens of men “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes”, the annual event renewed today in downtown Coldwater. The Branch County Coalition against Domestic Violence also has a hand in another important event coming up in less than two weeks, again in Coldwater.
It’s a networking and information session on “Work Place Violence and Surviving Intruders”, an opportunity to hear what safety measures employers can take to keep employees safe. It’s a free program sponsored by the Branch Employers Community Alliance. It’s scheduled for Thursday, May 9th, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Kellogg Community College Grahl Center. The featured speakers are Kim Hemker, executive director of the Domestic Violence Coalition and Deputy Frank Barker of the Branch County Sheriff’s Department.
