DENVER, CO (KDAL) - The Minnesota Wild slinked into the playoffs after defeating the Colorado Avalanche last night 3-1 in a close game featuring big saves late by Niklas Backstrom. Zach Parise and Devin Setoguchi tallied goals for the Wild, and Backstrom had 29 saves. It's the team's first postseason trip in five years, and thanks to a late-season meltdown they'll have to face the top-seeded Chicago Blackhawks in the first round.
