MUSKEGON, MI (WTVB) - The disappearance of Jessica Heeringa near Muskegon continues to mobilize police and private citizens into action. Volunteers are doing searches, and hanging flyers, and planning a candlelight vigil for this evening at a mall parking lot near the gas station. Her fiancé and the father of her 3-year old boy, Dakota Quail Dwyer says he is doing all he can. A police task force has been set up, the FBI are assisting and they are chasing down the many tips and leads from the public. They are expected to release a sketch of their suspect today.
Police have released the 9-1-1 tape made by a man who stopped at the EXXON station where Heeringa had been working, and discovered that she had vanished. Heeringa is described as a petite blonde 5-foot 1-inch tall weighing about 110 lbs.
