Chicago Blackhawks fans wait holding a replica of the Stanley Cup trophy before entering Hutchinson Field in Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois

CHICAGO, IL (WTVB) - Chicago Blackhawk fans can own a piece of history from this year’s championship season by buying part of the Stanley Cup floor. The team has broken up the ice from the United Center surface, put it in vials, and is selling it for charity. The fundraising effort was unveiled through a video on the Blackhawks web page. They haven’t announced the price yet, but anyone who might be interested in getting their hands on this collector's item can follow the Blackhawks on Facebook or Twitter or they can sign up to receive email alerts from the team.
