BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - Bronson City Police said Friday that an autopsy on Thomas Miller showed the preliminary cause of death was accidental drowning. The 48-year old Miller went missing a week ago today after he left his home on Matteson Street in Bronson to search for his dog which had escaped his fenced yard. An extensive search ensued by Bronson Police with the assistance of public safety agencies from Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana. Miller's body was discovered Wednesday in a small pond within the search area. His dog was found alive by search crews the day before.
Miller's family and the Bronson Police Department say they’re extremely grateful for the support and resources from the community and area public safety agencies. Bronson Chief of Police Stephen Johnson said thanks also goes out to the many local businesses for all of their assistance, resources, and compassion shown during this difficult time.
