WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVB)- 7th District Michigan Republican Congressman Tim Walberg says he’s behind an effort that would save taxpayers some money. The Energy Consumers Relief Act seeks to impose some Capitol Hill oversight on the EPA. Walberg says any regulation that would cost $100-million or more needs to have congressional approval. He says it’s necessary rather than letting the Environmental Protection Agency go hog wild in establishing their personal objectives which can be counter to sustainable growth in the U.S., including energy issues. The bill has already passed in the U.S. House.
