Lions add Myron Lewis to defensive backfield, Delmas still ailing

ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) - The Detroit Lions beefed up their defensive backfield yesterday by signing Myron Lewis, who played 28 games at cornerback with Tampa Bay over 3 seasons. The Detroit secondary was suspect in the Lion’s Friday night pre-season opening 26-17 win over the Jets, who threw for 317 yards and two touchdowns.

Safety Louis Delmas, who was held out of the exhibition opener and who also missed Sunday’s practice, remains a question mark for Thursday’s game at Cleveland as the Lions remain extra cautious in treating the tendinitis in his surgically repaired left knee.
