AUBURN HILLS, MI (WTVB) - The Pistons would like some backup on the bench for young centers Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe and the team is reportedly expressing interest in journeyman center Jason Collins. ESPN.Com says talks between the Pistons and Collins are just in an exploratory stage. Collins made international headlines this spring when he became the first openly gay active athlete to come out in one of the four major sports leagues in the U.S. The 34-year old 7-footer who specializes in post defense has played a dozen seasons in the NBA with limited minutes last year in Boston and Washington.
