ANN ARBOR, MI (WTVB) - The competition at Michigan for the starting halfback spot will be heating up once again with the return of freshman running back Derrick Green for yesterday’s fully-padded workout. Green, the number-one ranked high school player in the nation last year at his position, had to miss practice last week due to a minor, undisclosed injury. The 5-11, 240-pound Green looks to put pressure on fifth-year senior Fitz Toussaint to be in the starting lineup for the Wolverines season opener August 31st against Central Michigan. Michigan has its first full camp scrimmage coming up on Saturday.
