FLUSHING MEADOWS, NY (WTVB) - Novak Djokovic is the number one seed at the upcoming U.S. Open as the seeds were announced yesterday for the year's final major which starts next Monday at Flushing Meadows in New York. Rafael Nadal and reigning champion Andy Murray come in as the No. 2 and 3 seeds, respectively, while Roger Federer, a five-time Open champion, has dropped to No. 7, his lowest seed in Flushing since 2002. Djokovic is currently the No. 1 ranked player in the world. The women's seeds will be announced today.
