BRISTOL, TN (WTVB) - Stewart-Haas Racing revealed on Monday that Tony Stewart will miss the remainder of the 2013 Sprint Cup Series season and substituting for him in the No. 14 Chevrolet will be Mark Martin. Stewart, a three-time Sprint Cup champion, has missed the last two races after he sustained a broken right leg in an accident during a sprint car race on August Fifth at Southern Iowa Speedway. He underwent two surgeries following the crash and SHR expects Stewart to resume his driving duties in time for preseason testing next January. Prior to his injury, Stewart sat 11th in the point standings and held the second and final wild card spot for the Chase.
Next on the schedule is the Irwin Tools 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway with our live coverage on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 beginning at 6:30 Saturday night.
