DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - The Lions take on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots tonight at Ford Field in Game Three of the pre-season for both teams. Detroit has a 1-and-1 exhibition record and is coming off a 24-to-6 loss last Thursday at Cleveland. The Patriots are 2-and-0 following their 25-21 win Friday over the Buccaneers. The Lions would like some déjà vu from 2 years ago when they blew past New England 34-to-10 in the pre-season and used it as a springboard to a ten win playoff season.
Meanwhile, ex-Michigan State star running back Le'Veon Bell appears unlikely to be ready to go for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the start of the upcoming regular season due to a foot injury the rookie suffered in the team's preseason game Monday night against the Redskins. Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin said they’re awaiting the results of a second opinion on Bell's ailing right foot amid concerns the injury might require surgery for the second draft pick.
