DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - The Lions practiced yesterday and made some cuts as they work toward getting their roster reduced to the required 75 players by the end of the day today. The final trimming down to 53 happens on Saturday. Let go yesterday was defensive end Ronnell Lewis, who was drafted in the fourth round last year. Also released were receiver Cody Wilson from Central Michigan; safety Chris Hope, and cornerback Myron Lewis. Also over the weekend, Detroit sent quarterback Thad Lewis to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for linebacker Chris White.
The Lions wrap up their pre-season schedule Thursday night at Buffalo.
