SOTILLO, VENEZUELA (WTVB) - Former Tigers and White Sox outfielder Magglio Ordonez has entered the world of politics. He has been elected mayor of Sotillo in his native Venezuela. Ordonez retired in 2012 after 15 major league seasons, including 7 years with Detroit. He finished as a .309 career hitter and his 294 career homers are second all-time among Venezuelan-born players.
