LANSING (WKZO) -- A lawsuit is now pending against the state of Michigan seeking to toss the new right-to-work law
The American Civil Liberties Union and several labor unions joined together for the legal challenge, arguing the way Republicans in the Legislature rammed the law through in December violated the state constitution, the First Amendment and the state's Open Meetings Act. The new law is set to take effect March 27th, aside from legal challenges.
The Michigan Republican Party is planning to help the state with the defense of the law.
