THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) - There’s big jobs news for Southwest Michigan and St. Joseph County in particular. American Axle in Three Rivers has reportedly just landed a new contract to make parts for a new vehicle and they will be hiring as many as 500 new workers by the end of the summer. They have scheduled a Job Fair at Michigan Works on Burdick Street for February 16th. The company plans to invest 100-million dollars in new lines and facilities, and hire 20 to 40 new workers each week between now and September. The 500 this year is in addition to the 300 they added last year.
