LANSING (WKZO) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reporting record low water levels in Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.
The results from tests conducted through January 31st found the levels at their lowest since records began. The previous low was recorded in March of 1964.
Officials say years of drought-like conditions are largely to blame for the problem. Snow and ice levels from Lake Superior are being monitored to help determine if the lake levels will rise this spring.
