BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - Fifth and sixth grade students in the Bronson School district will be on the move beginning next fall. The Bronson School Board voted 6-to-1 last night in favor of ending instruction at the Chicago Street School. The fifth graders will attend Ryan Elementary while the sixth graders head to the middle school/high school building.
The Board also gave the green light to list for sale the district’s administrative offices on West Chicago Street. The shifting scene may also see Head Start rent out space at the Chicago Street School, which might possibly also be the site for the administrative offices.
The future of the Chicago Street School has been in limbo for a number of months. School Board vice president Rick Miller cast the lone no vote against the plan approved last night.
