The Tigers and pitcher Max Scherzer reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year deal on Monday. Several outlets are reporting that the two sides have avoided arbitration and that the contract is worth $6.725 million dollars. Scherzer went 16-and-7 last season with a 3.74 earned run average and finished second in the majors with 231 strikeouts, second only to teammate Justin Verlander's 239 K’s.
Detroit has now signed all of its arbitration eligible players.
