COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - It turned out to be a hugely successful annual Mardi Gras auction and then some this past Saturday for Coldwater’s St. Charles Borremeo Catholic School. The final unofficial count is still a bit in flux but organizers say it certainly will be over $71,000. The live auction alone brought in $48,800.
The Angel Tuition package was had for $2800 with a matching $2000, the Pheasant Hunt with Nick Miller brought $2500, the Hope Chest $2100, dinner from JR Colbeck $2000, Olivia’s ChopHouse $1,800 and the Hog Roast was over $1,100. They were able to sell all of their cash raffle tickets, all balloons for the balloon pop, and their mystery box raffles as well.
And there was a special presentation Monsanto fund presentation, over and above the $71,000. Keith & Pam Pohl were chosen as the Branch County Farm from the organization and were able to donate $2500 to a group of their choice and that turned out to be the St. Charles school!! Branch County received 2 such checks, so the school received a total of $5000!.
