MDOT is giving a tryout to a new snow plowing rig on I-94 that can plow two lanes at once. It’s called a Tow-Plow and trails behind the regular plow truck using a towing rig that swings it out into the lane next to the truck.

MDOT Spokesman Nick Schrippa says they are giving the rig a tryout because anyway they can double the efficiency of a driver, they want to take a look.

It will be traveling up and down the interstate near Kalamazoo.
