Third-ranked Michigan managed to squeeze out an overtime win last night at home over number-10 Ohio State 76-to-74, allowing the Wolverines to avenge their loss to the Buckeyes last month in Columbus.

Michigan had 14 three-pointers in the game with six from Tim Hardaway, Junior, who hit 5 straight triples and also blocked a shot right under the basket in the final seconds of the extra period to preserve the victory.

After the game, Michigan Coach John Beilein praised his team’s play, especially that of Hardaway, junior

Hardaway finished with 23 points while Trey Burke had 16 points and eight assists as the Wolverines improved to 21-and-2 overall and 8-and-2 in the Big Ten and tied for second in the conference with Michigan State behind top-ranked Indiana, which is 9-and-1.

The Wolverines play Saturday at Wisconsin and then next Tuesday at Michigan State. Tonight, number-12 Michigan State hosts Minnesota while in the Mid-American Conference Western Michigan has a home game against Kent State.

Back to last night, there was an upset in the top five as second-ranked Florida lost 80-to-69 at Arkansas.
