DETROIT (WKZO) -- A Detroit Public Lighting worker shot and injured two would-be robbers Thursday night.
According to authorities, the man and a co-worker were on a job at Schoolcraft and Cloverlawn Avenue when they were approached by two young men. One of the workers pulled out a handgun and fired at the suspects, striking both.
Police say a 16-year-old is listed in critical condition and a 17-year-old is listed in temporary-serious condition at this time. The teens allegedly had robbed the workers once that evening and were coming back to rob them a second time.
