A wild finish and a Red Wings victory Sunday afternoon at Joe Louis Arena. Jonathan Ericsson scored the game-winning goal with 4.5-seconds left as Detroit clipped the Los Angeles Kings 3-to-2. Ericsson's goal came less than a minute after the defending Stanley Cup champions tied the game. Pavel Datsyuk and Damien Brunner both scored in the first period for the Red Wings, who have won three in-a-row. Jimmy Howard stopped 45 shots in the victory
Detroit improved to 7-4-and-1 and will host the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday. In minor league hockey Sunday, the Kalamazoo Wings lost 5-to-2 at Reading.
